.Net Developer, GIS

Comsys IT Services is seeking an experienced .Net Developer for our client.
This is a fulltime, permanent position.
Design, develop, and maintain Web Mapping applications and data management tools that support the E&P geotechnical data processes. Partner with the Global G.I.S. team to implement server-based systems in support of G.I.S. services and solutions.
Design, develop and maintain map-based user interface to allow for the browsing, searching, retrieving and delivery of technical data globally.
Develop tools to capture and load quality controlled geotechnical data into the corporate databases.
Modify and enhance existing in-house applications based upon user inputs and feedbacks.
Provide technical support to applications supplied by outside vendors, including the evaluation and implementation of third-party software, as well as involvement in the software installation, user training, and system integration if required.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical and functional design. Identify and apply fit-for-purpose technology to implement the design into a deliverable system.
Perform applications integration to allow for the sharing of business data and processes, and develop data transformation middle-ware that enables live data transmitting to various upstream applications.
Work with the GIS team to identify emerging server-based GIS technologies that will enhance and extend our GIS services and offer better GIS solutions.
Participate in system architecture design and capacity planning for DM database and application servers.
Act as system administrator for Web server, ArcIMS, ArcGIS server and responsible for the products upgrade.
Required skills:
Web-based development in .NET environment (Web applications, Custom server controls and Web services).
Client-side programming with JavaScript and AJAX.
Web mapping applications development using ESRI .Net ADF.
Programming with Oracle DBMS, sql, pl/sql, proC.
Experience with IIS, Active Directory and Windows admin tools.
Familiar with ESRI Desktop GIS.
Experience with ESRI ArcIMS and ArcGIS server.
Ability to diagnose and resolve application and system problems quickly and effectively.
Optimize application performance and perform system tuning if necessary.
B.S. degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years professional experience with GIS and/or Geoscience applications.
Desired skills:
SharePoint development
C, Shell Scripting (Python a plus) in the Unix/Linux environment
ArcObjects with VB.Net
Knowledge of geotechnical data and the upstream Exploration and Production business
